Voting Day

What is your favorite cookie?  Kindergarten voted on the following candidates:  Sugar cookie, Nutter Butter, and Oreo.  First, we tasted them all.  We wanted to make sure we knew each candidate.  Selecting the strong points of our candidate we made posters to campaign for our favorite .  After registering to vote, we voted and proudly wore our "I Voted" buttons.

On Tuesday (the real election day) students were encouraged to tag along with their parents to the polls to compare our election with the real thing.  Ellie found that she could push a button.  Nicole discovered more candidates were on the ballot.  Micah liked it there because "there was candy for the little kids."
