Stipend: $750 per year

Time commitment: 

            DCHS-  2 people per planning period (split faculty per discipline)

            AHS-   1 person per blue planning period

                        1 person per white planning period

            BEACON- 1 person

Job Qualifications:

Competency with Microsoft E-mail, Internet Explorer, Word and knowledge of educational Internet resources and DCPS subscription web resources.

Ability to work with peers in a one-to-one setting and relieve the “intimidation factor” of technology. 

Willing to learn new technology and teaching skills.

Job Duties:

• During their planning period, addresses staff technology needs in the area of software use and integration of technology into the curriculum.
• Works during planning period on an as-needed basis when help is requested by e-mail or voice mail.  
  * save e-mails so we know common training needs
• Acts as a mentor to teach teachers time-saving computer techniques and suggest on-line curriculum resources.
• Prepares one training document or Powerpoint on a topic of your choice per 9 week period.  (Check with DTC before doing this) These will become a part of the DCPS on-line help files.
• Arranges times with staff developer, school technician or DTC for their own technology training needs. (train the trainer)
