Speed
Problem: No matter how
good you are at Internet searching, the results far outweigh your time to read
them!
Solution: Use the
"Cached" option that search engines provide.

occurs in Hawthorne's work

So, I'd like to
narrow my search to only college level educational sites and eliminate the
sites selling papers or college course syllibi.
I use the "Advanced Search" that most search engines offer and
limit the search to the .edu domain:

I still get 410
results, so I need to find which of these sites has the best information. I use the "Cached" option of
Google.


"Cached" highlights the words I'm searching for in
different colors. Since
"symbol" is green and "symbolism" is pink, I can quickly
scan articles for their usefulness:

pages of the text, you can see that the highlighted words jump out and I can read
only the pertinent paragraphs:
